[SOLD] 1973 Datsun 510 Automatic with 53k original miles
This rare 1973 Datsun 510 has many unique attributes besides being the desirable two-door variant. The 1973 models, which was the last model year these cars were sold in the states, contained many minor updates over their earlier models:
- Rear window defroster
- Illuminated headlight/wiper switches
- Unique HVAC controls
- Inertia reel seat belts
- Under parcel shelf
- and more.
This particular model was owned by Randy York, who was the Club President of The United Five-Ten Owners of Southern California and co-founder of The Dime, Quarterly. He purchased this 510 from the original owners. It has just over 53 thousand documented miles and still wears its original paint and interior.
This 510 has also been:
- Showcased at the San Diego Auto Museum.
- Also showcased at the Datsun Heritage Museum. (now defunct)
- Featured in Motor Trend Classic Magazine
- Featured in Japanese Nostalgic Car.

[SOLD] 1972 Datsun 510 - Original Orange paint w/KA24E engine swap
This 1972 Datsun 510, in the rare lighter stock orange, is the recipient of one of the first "KA" engine swaps. The swap was performed before pre-'75 cars were smog-exempt in California and the owner managed to do all the work to get C.A.R.B exemption.
Body:
The body is pretty straight and the paint is in great condition. No signs of any major/minor rust during our initial inspection. There are some minor dings and a few scratches here and there.
Interior:
The interior is in good condition, but there are mismatched items that we are looking to correct before we sell the car. The car originally had the cream white interior (door panels and seats) but the rear seat is a stock unit in black and the front seats are out of a '90s Honda/Acura. The dashpad is clean, straight and uncracked! An underdash A/C unit is mounted, but the A/C mechanicals on the motor has not been completed.
